Here’s another Kickstarter from the maker of the Penroll, which I reviewed a while back. The Flipclip also allows you to keep pens and pencils tidily attached to your notebook, in a clever hinged clip that opens so your notebook can still lie flat on a desk. Check it out soon, as the Kickstarter deadline […]
I was in London a few months ago, and while the trip wasn’t my best notebook-spotting adventure, I did see a few interesting items. At Foyle’s, the huge bookstore on Charing Cross Road, there is a nice selection of stationery tucked in shelves by the registers on the 2nd floor. I thought the Puggy’s Best […]
This week’s addict is the blogger at A Penchant for Paper. She’s been featured as an addict before, with a post about how she uses her various notebooks, but I’d somehow missed an earlier post with these yummy photos of her collection of notebooks and pens. These are from 2009, so I’ll bet she has […]
This little notebook was a surprise bonus when I purchased a Bellroy travel wallet. It’s mainly a piece of promotional material for the wallet, and was tucked into the space where an actual passport is meant to be carried. Now that my passport is in there, there’s no room for the notebook but it does […]
I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving! Hope it is full of family, friends, fun, and feasting before you start thinking about shopping… but once you do… here’s a few gift ideas for your favorite notebook addict–perhaps yourself! Brice Marden Notebooks: I posted about these recently, but hadn’t yet received my own copies of the facsimile […]
I don’t remember how I first heard that there was such a thing as Japanese stationery magazines, and I’m not even sure if “magazine” is the right word for them. The first one I’d heard of was a series of numbered volumes called “Note and Diary Style Book.” I searched for them on Amazon Japan, […]
Here’s an addict with a nice assortment of notebooks and fountain pens. Interestingly, the notebooks seem to have quite a variety, but the pens look like they are all variations of the same brand… The photo tags mention Rhodia and Whitelines. I think I also spy Moleskine and Life notebooks. See the original at […]
I first heard about the TWSBI brand via the Fountain Pen Network forums, which are a great place to discuss and learn about all things pen-and-notebook-y. I personally don’t have a mania for fountain pens, but people who do are very picky about the paper they use them on, so I’m always interested to know […]
Not 100% notebook related, but pretty cool! Lowriders in Space was recently named a best children’s book of 2014 by Kirkus Reviews. The illustrator, Raul Gonzalez, did all the artwork in Bic pens, and says “The reason I did this is that I wanted the book to have a very accessible book to youngsters out […]
I tend not to review very many notebook-related accessories on this site. There are various pen-holders and notebook covers on the market but I am not usually interested in them, as I like to keep my notebooks pretty simple and unencumbered. But when I first spotted the Penroll, I was immediately attracted to it and […]
