Welcome to the Network of Behavioral Health Providers (NBHP), a nonprofit organization in Houston, TX. The Network's membership consists of mental health and substance use providers in the greater Houston area. The purpose of the Network is to provide a forum for the behavioral health leaders in the community to work together on issues of common concern. Working on its own and in partnership with other entities at both the local and state levels, the Network has become a strong voice on behalf of behavioral health service providers and the individuals they serve. NBHP Executive Director Announcement
The Network of Behavioral Health Providers (NBHP) is pleased to announce the hiring of Andrea Usanga as its new Executive Director, effective March 1, 2019. Andrea previously led NBHP’s Community Coordination of Care (C3) Initiative , which aims to create the framework for a coordinated continuum of care that integrates medical, behavioral health and social services while addressing the social determinants of health.

NBHP Organizational Overview
The 44 members of the NBHP are the CEO’s and high-level executives of the behavioral health provider community, representing all aspects of mental health and substance use disorder service provision in greater Houston. This includes public agencies and for-profit and non-profit private organizations that provide the full range of behavioral health services from prevention to crisis intervention to long-term residential care and recovery management for all ages, races, gender
orientations, and socio-economic categories.
NBHP members are committed to providing high quality care that transforms behavioral health services into better lives for their patients and to services that are vital to the health and well-being of our communities. In the last year, our members:

For the 86th Legislative Session, NBHP’s top issue is to ensure that the Legislature continues to invest in and build out the current capacity of the behavioral health system.

- Had a total economic impact of more than $655 Million in behavioral health service provision.
