Without the support of our Members, The Met would not be The Met—and that's why Members get special treatment. Members get free, express admission and complimentary guest passes to share the Museum with others. They also get exclusive access to the Museum for major exhibitions, special Members-only hours, and more.

Host an Event

The Museum's many unique spaces throughout The Met Fifth Avenue and The Met Cloisters are ideal for a variety of events—from large corporate dinners and nonprofit galas to meetings, film screenings, and, for Members and Patrons, intimate private dining opportunities.

Corporate support helps The Met fulfill its mission by funding its operating budget, education programs, and a variety of Museum-wide programs.

Volunteer

The Volunteer Organization of The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1967 by 12 Members of the Museum who assisted at the information desk in the Great Hall. Responding to the needs of the Museum over the years, the Volunteer Organization has grown to more than 1,250 men and women working throughout the Museum.
