Raymond Lo, Chief Technology Officer & Co-founder
Ray is our technical visionary for the product. During his tenure at the most prestigious wearable computing lab in academia--Steve Mann's lab at the University of Toronto--Ray's Ph.D. research specialized in the algorithms now used by Meta.
Karen Kwan, VP, Logistics
Karen manages Meta's financial processes and heads its logistical operations, including inventory, facilities, HR, and wellness. From her early days hand building hardware prototypes to the present days of growing the company, Karen quickly but carefully tackles the many curveballs associated with a fast growing startup. Prior, she worked at Experian CheetahMail with its Fortune 500 clients to implement and analyze new digital marketing programs.
Ryan Pamplin, VP, Sales
Ryan is a Silicon Valley titan with deep experience in startups, brand advertising, and tech development. He co-founded and led sales for BrandAds, later acquired by a leader in TV advertising. The software is now used by nearly every Fortune 100. Ryan also founded an award-winning creative agency which developed commercials, including a 2013 Super Bowl ad.
Alan Beltran, VP, Hardware
Alan is a seasoned technology executive with 25+ years experience in management, engineering, manufacturing, hardware design and support. Prior to Meta, he was responsible for all hardware and manufacturing development for Google's Project Tango.
Soren Harner, Chief Product Officer
Soren's 20+ years of experience in software has emphasized team management, computer vision, graphics, data science and large-scale web applications. Prior to Meta, he held VP of Engineering roles at Bigcommerce and Atlassian Software.
Kevin Ngo, VP, Product
Kevin's 15+ years of experience in creating innovative products have led to multiple accolades, including five consecutive CES Awards. Prior to Meta, he held product roles at Logitech and Motorola Mobility.
Becca Frank, VP, UX and Design
Becca brings 20 years of experience in brand, user experience, interface design, brand marketing and the design of experiential programs. Her passion is working with start-ups on innovative technology, product, and social concepts. She has worked with companies across varied industries including BMW/DesignWorks, Adidas, Nokia, (RED), New Era, Siemens, Pepsi, Microsoft, Warner Bros, Paramount, Idealab, and The United Nations. She is a graduate of Art Center of Design in Pasadena, CA.
Stuart McFaul, VP, Marketing
Bringing nearly 30 years of brand marketing experience, Stuart has spent his entire career focused on building award-winning technology marketing programs. He most recently has been founder and president of Spiralgroup, an international brand marketing agency with offices in San Francisco and Shanghai.
John Werner VP, Strategic Partnerships
The constant through John Werner’s career has been a passionate commitment to combining innovative thinking and collaborative, creative solutions to deliver human and environmental impact. Werner was most recently at the MIT Media Lab as Head of Innovation and New Ventures at the Camera Culture Group and Founding Managing Director of Emerging Worlds SIG. At MIT, Werner supported developments on new imaging platforms, including hardware and software technologies, to augment human vision. He is an accomplished triathlete and has qualified for and competed in the Ironman World Championship four times.
Jordan Schwartz, VP, General Counsel
After earning his JD from Columbia Law School, Jordan worked in New York for the top international law firm, Jones Day. At Meta, he masterfully negotiates contracts; builds our comprehensive intellectual property portfolio; and manages financial operations, investor relations and capital-raising.
John Sines, CFO
John is a high-energy executive with 25+ years of financial and operational leadership in enterprise and consumer software. He's amassed $540M of venture capital, venture debt and M&A proceeds in six successful exits.
Prof. Steve Mann, Chief Scientist
