במרחק שעת נסיעה מת"א, פועלת קהילת היי-טק צעירה ותוססת. ברמאללה, רואבי (העיר הפלסטינית החדשה), בית לחם ושכם פועלות חברות טכנולוגיה ותוכנה, המעסיקות מאות מהנדסים לטובת פרוייקטים טכנולוגיים ישראליים ובינלאומיים. גם ברצועת עזה פועלת קהילה טכנולוגית, אמנם קטנה יותר אך לא פחות איכותית.
