About meRobert Morrice (or Morris) (d. 19 November 1684), of Wethersfield and Hartford, CT. He was the brother of Hartford settler John Morris.

Morrice married Anne (widow of John Lattimer in 1662); the following year he conveyed his estate to his wife, noting that she had a much larger estate than him at the time of their marriage. The two soon were granted a divorce, as a court found that Morrice was unable to "perform the Act of Generation" as his "Bowels came down."

In 1663, he was on a committee to invite a Rev. Haynes to be the minister at Wethersfield.

Morrice's will is dated 7 June 1684. An inventory of his estate was taken 21 November 1684, and amounted to £63/8/3. Several debts were outstanding, including what appear to be fees for an illness: £3/7/0 to Dr. Williams, and £1/13/0 to "John Andrews his wife for Washing & 15 days nursing." Lt. Caleb Standly was granted £4 from the estate by the court, "having done many services to Robert Morrice, as all his family, having baked his bread for a number of years."

The book Ancient Families of Wethersfield, in its brief sketch of Morrice, concludes "it may be inferred that Robert Morrice lived a lonely life and had his own troubles in this world of woe."
