EMBA Curriculum

The EMBA comprises five contact modules over a two-year period that work to equip leaders and executives with the necessary soft skills and organising principles that will enable them to build resilience and make better decisions.

EMBA Dates

The 2017 intake of the EMBA gets under way in March 2017 and runs to June 2018.

GMAT Admissions Test

EMBA applicants who choose to complete the alternative of MCPA plus NBT do not need to write the GMAT.

MCPA Assessment

As an alternative to the GMAT, EMBA applicants can complete the MCPA Assessment PLUS the NBT. The MCPA assessment provides an indication of the individual’s most suitable longer term fit with organisational complexity or work themes, and provides information about current and future capabilities.

National Benchmark Test

EMBA applicants, who choose the MCPA route are required to write the National Benchmark Test (NBT). Applicants applying for the PGDip via RPL are also required to write the NBT. This UCT-developed test provides additional insight into the candidate's verbal and quantitative abilities.
