Kairat Zakiryanov made great contribution to the development of the student and Olympic sport, promotion of the values and ideals of the University and Olympic sports, introducing means and methods of physical culture and sports to the system of populations' healthy life-style improvement, improving the selection of gifted children in sport and sports reserve training. He also made a huge contribution to the research of the Kazakh people's history. The results of his research, professional and social activities published in more than 100 scientific works, monographs, in the mass media and put into practice to the student and Olympic sports and to the training of the Kazakhstan teams for the participation in the Olympic Games, World Universiades, and World Championships. Kairat Zakiryanov regularly appointed as keynote speaker at International Scientific Congresses "Olympic Sport and Sport for All", International Conferences of Students and Young Scientists "University Sports: Health and prosperity of the nation" and in other major international scientific events. Kairat Zakiryanov regularly delivers papers in plenary session in the International Scientific Congresses "Olympic Sport and Sport for All, in the International Conferences "University Sport: Health and Prosperity of the nation" and actively took part in other major international scientific events. Kairat Zakiryanov is the one of the developers of the State program for the developments of physical culture and sport in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2011-2015, Conception of the school and student sport development in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2014-2020. He makes a significant contribution to the implementation of state policy on the development of mass youth sport and elite sport. Professor Zakiryanov has established for gifted in sports children 6 small Academies named after Olympic Champions, in which at present studies more than 500 children. Under his leadership as President of the Student Sports Federation of Kazakhstan our student teams at the World Universiades won 36 gold, 45 silver, 51 bronze medals and today they are among the 20 strongest student teams in the world. He is the initiator and President of the International Association of Physical Education and Sport Universities, which unites 52 leading sports universities in the world. Kairat Zakiryanov as President of the IAPESU established close partnership relations with International University Sports Federation and International Olympic Committee. Every year in different countries Association hosts International Scientific Congress "Olympic Sport and Sport for All" under the patronage of the hosting country's President and IOC President. These congresses were held in Almaty in 2004, 2009 and 2014. According to his initiative from 2011 also in different countries Association hosts International Conference for Students and Young Scientists "University Sport: Health and prosperity of the nation" under the patronage of the International University Sports Federation (FISU). By his initiative in Almaty were hosted the World University Boxing Championship in 2006, Asian University Taekwondo Championship in 2011 and the 2nd World University Speed Skating Championship in December, 2014. In 2016 will the 3rd Asian University Futsal Championship. And for 2018 is bidding to host World University Futsal Championship. He made great contribution in winning the right to host in Almaty the 28th World Winter Universiade 2017. Professor Zakiryanov deeply exploring and widely promotes the history and culture of the Kazakh people in the world. He is the author of two books, which are published in three languages and have been presented at the Great Britain Royal Geographical Society and the British Library in London. For his scientific works he received gratitude letters from the Library of Congress, National Library of Japan, and Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
