Ekar Farm connects people to community, and community to the earth. We grow sustainably produced fruits and vegetables so that all who are hungry can come and eat. We nourish body, heart, mind and spirit on an urban farm in Denver, Colorado that serves as a commons on which to repair the food system, and the environment. Rooted in the Jewish vision of creating a more environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually connected world, we believe these values and these tasks are EKAR, “the most important things.”
Ekar cultivates healthy community by growing culturally appropriate foods for those in need; providing community garden space and transformative experiential education; and through celebration of earth- based holidays throughout the seasons.

Teen Leadership Program
Food Justice and the Environment
This 6 day summer series engages the hearts, minds, and bodies of participants through an exploration of our food system. Learning from each other, local food leaders, and the land, teens will grow their understanding of the food system and the roles they can play in transforming it.
Let everyone who is hungry come and eat
During this uncertain time, growing your own food, and growing some for donation, can create food security for all this season. Whatever your situation, we can help you grow!
Here's what we're doing:
