Information Disability.gov Collects & Stores
Disability.gov does not collect or save personally identifiable information, unless this information is sent through an email or another communications method by the visitor. In order to make the site more useful for visitors, the site collects and stores certain information automatically, including:
- The domain name from which visitors access the Internet (e.g., “Harvard.edu” if visitors connect from a computer at Harvard University);
- The dates and times visitors access the site;
- The pages visitors view on Disability.gov;
- The Internet address of the website from which visitors directly link to the site (e.g., if Disability.gov is accessed through a Google search); and
- Information gathered from visitors who take the ForeSee survey on Disability.gov.

The images on Disability.gov do not belong to the site and are licensed from various stock photography companies. Therefore, the site cannot give permission to use these photos.
Emails from Visitors
Some visitors choose to include personally identifiable information in emails sent to the Disability.gov team. The Disability.gov team only uses this information to respond to the request and/or improve the site’s service. Sometimes these emails are forwarded to other federal agency representatives, who may be better able to address the issue. Disability.gov reserves the right to review, edit, move or delete any material submitted as a comment on its social media accounts. When possible, we will remove personally identifiable information or delete comments to protect visitors’ identities.
