offering great quality Australian-grown
products that customers want. Our strong
partnerships with growers and suppliers allow us to offer fresh produce, meat, seafood and bread that are loved by Aussies around the nation.

Community

We are an integral part of the Surrey Hills community and show our support through donations to organisations such as the Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre Soup Kitchen, so they can provide healthy meals to people in need.

We don't waste good food

We donate all edible unsold food to Second Bite who distribute this to local families and community groups in need. Or, if it's no longer good to eat, it goes into our 'Food Digester' which turns it into waste water.

We care about our environment

We’re committed to saving energy throughout the store and reducing our carbon footprint. From our energy efficient fridges to our new closed loop water system, we’ve carefully planned our store to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

We appreciate the heritage of our store

We spent over 100 hours painstakingly rebuilding the front façade brick-by-brick to ensure the original design was restored. Each brick was carefully removed, stored offsite and then reconstructed with the support of a local heritage consultant and council to achieve the desired outcome.

We celebrate Surrey Hills through art

We’re proud to feature a mural painted by Simon White along our internal stairwell within our Coles Local Surrey Hills store. The artist behind the now iconic Surrey Hills history mural on Union Road has highlighted local landmarks and vegetation in his realistic contemporary style.
