Vorteile:

Am besten gefällt mir, das das Programm nicht mehr startet und ich Geld für eine Lizenz bezahlen durfte

Nachteile:

Sorgt einfach dafür, das das Programm startet, damit ich damit arbeiten kann !!

Starke Alternative

Vorteile:

Einfach und intuitiv zu bedienen, sieht man sofort die Qualität der Software als definitive Alternative zum Quasi-Standard.

Nachteile:

Das ist eine sehr subjektive Einschätzung, aber es ist am Anfang ungewohnt, eine neue Software in den Prozess einzubinden, wenn man bisher das gesamte Paket der Creative Cloud nutzt.

Must have tool in the office

Vorteile:

It just works. No quirks, intuitive interface and simple to make the most of the software. I've been using it for years (and in another role use a different pdf tool as part of a corporate standard) and see the differences. PowerPDF is so much easier to use and increases productivity. Often, I move docs from one computer to another so I can use PowerPDF instead of the other.

Nachteile:

It can be pricey for small office/SOLO's

Excellent Non-Cloud Product!

Kommentare: A fantastic alternative to Adobe. Even better if you don't want to move to the cloud.

Vorteile:

I like that it is NOT cloud based. I prefer to use it on my own computer and network.

Nachteile:

There are some tune-ups that are needed like the highlighting feature. But, overall, excellent!

Not a great fit for everyday user

Vorteile:

All in one power packed PDF maker/editor. Like the stamping and redaction features.

Nachteile:

With more features come complexity and learning curve but the least likely thing is the bulkiness of the product in usage. In general, its slow and tardy.

An Essential Tool for anyone in business

Kommentare: I have used Power PDF for more than 10 years and have found it to be a completely essential part of my daily work. I have it on my computer at work and also at home and I could not live without it.

Vorteile:

The versatility of this product exceeds anything else available today.

Nachteile:

I would like to be able to add pictures or other objects more easily. However, this IS possible and hasn't kept me from using Power PDF in this way.

Why I use Kofax Power PDF

Kommentare: This product allows me to edit and modify PDFs which are the end product of my business. Without this I would be forced to use a MUCH more expensive competitor, or a second rate product.

Vorteile:

The ability to edit PDFs, resort pages, and extract, remove, and append documents and PDFs to an original PDZF

Nachteile:

Some of the user interface items such as sizing, rotating, and other tool bar items in a major competitor are easier to use.

Decent for the price but there are better options

Vorteile:

Kofax accomplishes what it sets out to do. It is very functional with a lot of features.

Nachteile:

The interface is generally clunky, complicated, and lags. While it has tons of functionality, there is a sense that the entire application could use quite a bit more polishing. Everything works, but could be easier. It works for my users and is cheaper than the name brand, but my users beg me to go back to the name brand because of these issues. I also hate the licensing. When you buy, you only get the version available at that time with no promise of even security updates. You better save the installation package because you likely won't be able to download it again.

More bang for your buck.

Kommentare: We needed a fast reliable PDF program that could do then just view documents and this was the clear winner.

Vorteile:

Power PDF is easy to use and full featured. I am not a fan of having to pay subscriptions for everything, so this is fantastic one-time purchase. You don't need a cloud account it just works.

Nachteile:

There are some occasional issues with PDF forms generated from other PDF programs, but they are fairly easy to work around.

Best for my small business

Kommentare: As I outlined above in "Pros", Power PDF was the solution to outputting the forms and reports I needed to provide to my customers.

Vorteile:

I have been using this PDF software since before it was purchased by Kofax. I needed affordable PDF software for the creation and completion of forms used for inspections and for the conversion of reports created in other software to PDF format. Final reports, in PDF format, are then electronically sent to clients. The ability to "flatten" these forms and reports to preclude modification is an important feature.

Nachteile:

Power PDF provides the solutions required for my business. The switch several years ago to the ribbon toolbar was a small learning curve but an improvement in the long run.

Power PDF Advanced- the best PDF program and a great value

Kommentare: Truly excellent. Customer support is first rate. I have recommended the program to many of my associates as well as competitors.

Vorteile:

It has all the Adobe features plus every conceivable value-extra features for attorneys. The security features, the email archiving feature, the compatability with MIcrosoft programs-- all work seamlessly. The OCR quality is unmatched. It effortless converts documents to every conceivable format. It's a great program.

Nachteile:

Individual licensees do not get periodic program software fixes and service packs.

Edit PDF documents? Get this.

Kommentare: This has been a great PDF viewer and editor. It has been the one I've used for multiple years and don't plan on using anything else.

Vorteile:

The ability to edit PDF documents and add typewriter type text. Having keyboard shortcuts. Security features that lock and protect PDF documents.

Nachteile:

Some embedded fonts are not available when editing PDF documents. Highlights add a comment, would like a highlight only option.

Better than Adobe

Kommentare: I'm a long-time user who depends on PDF for all my document management and form signing

All the features of Acrobat without the high price

Nachteile:

Some issues with licensing were frustrating but easily solved

A Really Good Product

Vorteile:

Ease of use and feature rich. Price point is excellent when compared to Adobe Acrobat. We also tried Soda PDF Desktop 14 which was not as powerful.

Nachteile:

Editing function difficult to use. There are instances where a fillable form needs editing and Koufax has trouble.

Cheaper than Adobe Acrobat

Kommentare: See above. It crashes a lot which wastes my time.

Vorteile:

I don't like Kofax. It's fine as a reader, but for anything else I definitely prefer other applications.

Nachteile:

I don't like Kofax at all. It crashes all the time which wastes so much of my time. When we first got it in 2001 it crashed so much that it was totally unusable and really messed up our work flow. Our IT team spent a lot of time (like weeks) trying to get it to work. One of the people on our team spent her own money to just buy Adobe Acrobat so she wouldn't have the headache of dealing with Kofax. Kofax functions now, but it still crashes a lot during edits. The adding pages feature really sucks and I have to do the steps very specifically or else it crashes, and I save after each step when adding pages and redoing the page numbers to avoid loosing the work I've already done. Weird things also happen if you remove a page and try to renumber. The page numbering function needs a lot of improvement.

Freezes too often and will have to back track into the software to double check if i lost anything i was using.

Great product for managing PDFs

Kommentare: Every business needs a PDF writer. Power PDF is the right product for a reasonable price.

Vorteile:

Power PDF is easy to use and gets the job done. it doesn't annoy users with trying to upsell their product. I especially like the ability to OCR a document.

Nachteile:

Converting a PDF to an Excel file can be tricky, but it can be done.

Vorteile:

easy to use, and integrated easy with other apps to convert to excel or word documents

Nachteile:

cant find anything i didn't like, i liked everything about it

It has everything you need, and more, compared to other PDF Editor/Reader softwares

Does not translate Adobe edited files on a 1-1 match base.

Editing PDF

Kommentare: Increased efficiency in my job as I have to manually update paperwork. Being able to click a button and start editing has help immensely.

Vorteile:

Able to edit a PDF for shipping documents with ease now.

Nachteile:

I only use the Edit and Convert functions, both work well for what I need them for.

Great PDF tool

Vorteile:

The conversion features are so useful, creating Word/Excel and fillable forms.

Nachteile:

Converting documents into Excel is probably very tricky. Sometimes the results are not optimal, but even then useable.
