Comments: I use it for free and based on that alone I am impressed with what it can do for me consistently. It is a great resource in my line of work and I intend on using it some more for years to come.

Pros:

I always use this tool when I want to protect my files from any unwanted edits that they may encounter along the way as I send it to a recipient via email. It is a form of security (as far as I'm concerned) that goes a long way in making sure that your documents do not get tampered with.

Cons:

Sometimes I experience page cutoffs when creating a PDF document then printing it out on physical paper. I wish the software had some sort of detection algorithm that prevents this from happening because you end up wasting pages by printing more than what you were suppose to.

Pros:

I use this application for creating binders for court and also for merging documents. I also redact information on this app.

Cons:

It crashes a lot when there are lots of documents merging. It is a shame because the features are all brilliant but it gets slow or crashes occasionally.

Not bad, not the best

Pros:

It's a very easy platform for printing files to pdf or other types of files, like jpg. There are also some tools that allow the user to easily change resolution or alter pdf options. For example, the user can add some security password protection or decide whether to compress images to create a smaller document. Functionally the software is fairly easy to use and interact with from other software platforms, like Microsoft products or anything that communicates with print drivers.

Cons:

There are not enough options for pdf creation. I would like to not only create, but also edit pdf files once they're created. My biggest problem is really with the process of creating a pdf. First I select print document using pdf creator, then a window pops up for me to create the pdf, along with options, and then the pdf opens. I wish we could skip some of the intermediate windows and just have the document print to pdf assuming all of the pre-programmed options

The software is free to download and to be use, but are filled with many advertising and third party software that will automatically installed into my computer without my permission. It is better for them to offer a premium account for user, and get rid of the advertisement and bundled software.

Although it seems to me a powerful program, I believe that its only weakness is the limitation that implies not being able to reproduce or modify documents without the signature appearing in the foreground over the text. Pros:

PDFCreator is perfect for being able to convert a plethora of document types to PDFs. I am able to convert emails, word documents, excel spreadsheets, etc. to PDFs at a rapid pace. The ability to digitally sign documents and highlight important text helps when needing to bring attention to these parts of the document. I also enjoy being able to add notes to PDFs that others are able to update when sending files back and forth.

Cons:

My main complaint about PDFCreator is that it is bundled with OpenCandy installer. I'm less inclined to use software that is bundled with others. This does not effect my usage since PDFCreator is essential to my company, but I do tend to steer clear of any bundled software.

This software is very important and useful to make sure our file stays intact to use in different computers. Sometimes when users try to open a file in word format using a computer having different version of Microsoft Office, they find their file diorganized or missing all the spaces between words. By simply converting the file from word to PDF using PDFCreator they can prevent this problem. Users can also make it difficult for readers to edit their file or coping and pasting.

Cons:

The thing I like least about this software is its difficulty to use it in other language fonts. For instance some letters in differnt languages like Amharic may be changed to differnt sybols while converting the word file to PDF.

It has many positive functions but for me the most important ones would be that when printing documents you can convert them to PDF formats, you can also protect them against unauthorized access. If you need to send a signed document with many reproductions you can use digital signatures which will save you time.
