At this time, CalConnect has five elected directors with a maximum of seven. All officer positions of the corporation defined in thebBylaws are appointed from elected Directors. The Chair of the Technical Coordination Commmittee (TCC) and the Interoperability Test Manager attend Board calls as Ex Officio non-voting members.
The Board holds quarterly Board Meetings in January, April, July, and October, almost always by conference call. The Board also has a brief bi-weekly conference call for strategic planning and current events update; the Chair of TC CHAIRS (the Technical Committee coordination group) and the Interperability Test Event Manager attend these calls occasionally to update the Board on status and current events. The Board has also held strategic planning retreats in 2005, 2012, 2015 and 2018, and anticipates doing so every few years in the future.
