iPage is one of my top recommendations for those who want cheap web host – the web host’s price tag is extremely cheap and its server is performing better than average according to my record. Note that I am not saying iPage is the best web host; but I do believe it is the best option for those who are looking for a cheap hosting option. (source)
I have used iPage for an year and I was not completely disappointed with them. The servers are slow, they have an “improvised” CPanel and I had few downtimes (around 95% uptime). But I was into FB pages back then, I even had spikes of 15k traffic per day and the servers were up. Sure, I had a non optimized image entertainment website and it loaded in 6-7 seconds, but no shared hosting that cheap would allow you to have that much traffic per day. I did receive a message from them, saying that I should upgrade my package (which obviously I didn’t), I bought another hosting from another company and moved on.
It all depends on what you are trying to do. GoDaddy has great services and is cheap. However, IPage has unlimited everything and is also cheap. I use Ipage and I don’t have too many issues! (source)
