Boy trick-or-treater threatened at knife-point

Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was threatened at knife-point whilst out trick-or-treating in Barnstaple on Halloween.
The boy was approached by two teenagers between 18:15 and 18:30 in the Elliot Close area of the town.
The attackers demanded money and physically searched the boy, before running off empty-handed.
Police would like to speak to two teenagers described as white, aged between 14 and 18, approximately 5ft 9in to 5ft 11ins tall, and with local accents.
Both were dressed in black and wore face coverings.
Police are also appealing to two men in a white transit van who said the same thing happened to their child about the same time.

A football stand has been damaged in a "deliberate" fire, emergency services have said.
The blaze at South Molton Football Club was reported at about 16:00.
Two fire engines were sent from South Molton and Barnstaple.
The fire stretched 32ft (10m) by 10ft (3m) and was extinguished using one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera.
Half of the stand was damaged in the blaze, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the cause was believed to be deliberate.
