Bard Network
Students from two Bard partner institutions, Smolny College and American University of Central Asia, at Ala Archa National Park in the Tian Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
Bard envisions the liberal arts institution as the hub of a network, rather than a single, self-contained campus.
Numerous institutes for special study are available on and off campus, connecting Bard students to the greater community. Bard’s undergraduate program is based in Annandale, but students can take advantage of many opportunities outside the region, through Bard programs from New Orleans to Budapest and Bard College Berlin. Bard’s philosophy is that colleges can and should play a broad role in education; for this reason, Bard operates or partners with high schools and graduate schools. Many Bard College undergraduate students began at Bard Early Colleges, or go on to pursue a master’s degree through Bard in conjunction with or after completing their bachelor’s.
Where can I study at Bard?
Bard's historic main campus is located along the Hudson River in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. From this idyllic rural setting emerge Bard's undergraduate program and many Bard institutes. But the College's initiatives reach far beyond Annandale. Campuses in New York City, Boston, California, Germany, and Russia bring Bard's mission to the world. From urban settings to rural, from programs at small institutes to large universities, Bard is a global institution for the 21st century.Bard College Berlin
