In Short
The Honor 8 sports a glass-backed design, dual cameras and Huawei's top internals, making it a serious competitor in the affordable premium space. The phone features a unique dual-camera setup combining full color and monochrome sensors for improved contrast. There's an octa-core Kirin 950 processor running the show, along with 3 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of storage, and of course Huawei's proven fingerprint security system around the back. That's backed up by a 1080p 5.2-inch display and 3,000mAh internal battery. See at HiHonor
The Honor 8 also steps up build quality considerably compared to earlier Honor phones, with the brand moving to a glass-backed chassis with "2.5D" tapered glass. Combined with a metal trim, this gives the impression of a premium design similar to many modern Samsung Galaxy phones.
Western buyers won't have to wait too long for the Honor 8: it is launching in early September in the U.S. and Europe, and prices will be $399 for the 32GB version and $449 for the 64GB model.

After seeing considerable growth and brand awareness in Europe, Honor is properly launching itself in the U.S. with this, the Honor 8. It is the true embodiment of what Honor is capable of right now, and it's launching in the States right on cue with the launch in China and Europe.

The Honor 8 is the less expensive version of the Huawei P9, trading in all-metal for a glass-and-metal hybrid design that will certainly appeal to fans of the Galaxy S7 series. Not only does the Honor 8 introduce HiSilicon's Kirin chipset to the U.S. market, but it is one of the best phones you can get for $399.
