    More by time - 5 minutes. Loved the rhythm of the counting - and experimenting with the double clap on the "oclock", single clap on the half hour, and soft lap clap on quarter past/to. So many diagonal patterns to !

    Thanks for clarifying the place of spelling. “However, accurate spelling is not a measure of writing success. This is measured in the features of text.”

    How can we get our parents to see beyond the letters on the page to the meaning and understanding about text that their children demonstrate?

    e.g. - I know I can count by twos - I know rows mean I can use multiplication - I know I can break numbers into smaller parts I’m trying to focus not so much on how many but on what’s going to help me work it how many. Thoughts?!

    I hear mixed comments about ‘what do you notice? what do you wonder?’ About how to bring out the maths. So here’s my idea... that could help you? This would make a direct link to prior knowledge and spark mathematical thinking perhaps. Extending

    Love this link to visual arts. Reminds me of the task introduced me to page 333

    Woah! First off! The paint ratio is awesome. Question that comes to mind: “how could we make it a little darker?” (And then I want to mix and paint a number path.) Second, really cool sectioning of those rectangles based on simple principles.
