    Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Winds for North Central and parts of Central, East Gippsland, South West, North East, West and South Gippsland and Wimmera Forecast Districts. Issued at 11:19 am Saturday, 5 October 2019. Windy over Elevated Areas during Sunday. Weather Situation A low pressure system will develop to the southwest of Victoria early Sunday before drifting to the south of Tasmania during the day. An associated low pressure trough will move through western Victoria during Sunday morning before affecting eastern Victoria during the afternoon. DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas: Central, East Gippsland, South West, North Central, North East, West and South Gippsland and Wimmera DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 50 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are expected to develop over elevated parts (above 800 metres) of the warning area during Sunday morning. Winds are expected to ease in the west around the middle of the day and over eastern areas later. Locations which may be affected include Falls Creek. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move vehicles under cover or away from trees; * Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony; * Keep clear of fallen power lines; The next Severe Weather Warning will be issued by 5:00 pm AEST Saturday.
