Name: Scarlet Blue
Age: ….debatable….
Location: A field in Devon, UK.
Likes: Calligraphy; raising tittles; performing the umlaut manoeuvre in either German or Hungarian and practising French accents.
Dislikes: Lumpy lettering and crimes against Italic.
The reason for this blog: To spread the joy of calligraphy!!! And to flog some envelopes, and maybe some gilded lettering. I am not much cop at marketing….
I welcome enquiries from those who are in need of a calligrapher – I am not bad at addressing envelopes…. I have had a bit of practice. I also like messing around with gold leaf should anyone like some bling.

I saw your picture and I love Clara Bow. I also love wonky words, amusing people and fields in Devon, where I have spent most of my holidays, ( my mother’s family is from there ) so I will be following your Blog 🙂
Many thanks, Mr Wells! This is a good thing because I have taken a liking to Counting Ducks 🙂

Quack
After some thought, I have returned to this page and added one of those ‘Likes’ to the bottom of the page because, a) you will be able to enjoy the small portrait of contentment the duck portrays, and secondly, because it underlines how clever you writing seems to me. Very clever indeed actually
Thank you! I am a nightmare with complements, they make me very bashful and type-tied!
I like the duck portraits… they add a touch of class to my website 🙂

There is a letter missing in the above comment owing to carelessness. It is not a unique failing which is not an easy thing to admit to a calligrapher
Ack… I could have edited that for you… but if I do that now it will make your most recent comment look silly. So I will leave be. Typos are akin to inkblots.
