Morning Joe is a weekday morning talk show which premiered on May 9, 2007, on MSNBC. The show features Joe Scarborough discussing the news of the day in a panel format with co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist. It was created as the replacement for Imus in the Morning, which was canceled in April 2007 after simulcasting on MSNBC since 1996.
The talk show airs airs from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
Morning Joe began as a fill-in program after Don Imus' Imus in the Morning was canceled. Former Florida Congressman Joe Scarborough, then host of the primetime MSNBC program Scarborough Country, suggested the idea of doing a morning show instead. He put together what would become Morning Joe with Scarborough Country executive producer Chris Licht and screenwriter John Ridley. On May 9, 2007, the show debuted as one of a series of rotating programs auditioning for Imus's former slot, with Scarborough joined by co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Ridley. Scarborough had personally asked Brzezinski to co-host with him the night before the first audition, while she was a "cut-in" presenter during MSNBC's primetime schedule on a freelance basis.
Human services is an interdisciplinary discipline with the objective of meeting human needs through an applied knowledge base, focusing on prevention as well as remediation of problems, and maintaining a commitment to improving the overall quality of life of service populations. The process involves the study of social technologies (practice methods, models, and theories), service technologies (programs, organizations, and systems), and scientific innovations that are designed to ameliorate problems and enhance the quality of life of individuals, families and communities to improve the delivery of service with better coordination, accessibility and accountability. The mission of human services is to promote a practice that involves simultaneously working at all levels of society (whole-person approach) in the process of promoting the autonomy of individuals or groups, making informal or formal human services systems more efficient and effective, and advocating for positive social change within society.
MSNBC is an American basic cable and satellite television network that provides news coverage and political commentary from NBC News on current events. The network also carries a prime-time 'opinion page' programming bloc with a mostly progressive slant. It is owned by the NBCUniversal News Group, a unit of the NBCUniversal Television Group division of NBCUniversal.
MSNBC and msnbc.com were founded in 1996 as separate partnerships between Microsoft and General Electric's NBC unit, hence the network's naming. Although they shared the same name, msnbc.com and MSNBC maintained separate corporate structures and news operations, with msnbc.com headquartered on the West Coast on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, Washington, and MSNBC in the NBC headquarters in New York. Microsoft divested its stake in the MSNBC channel in 2005, and divested its stake in msnbc.com in July 2012, rebranding the general news site as NBCNews.com and creating a new msnbc.com as the online home of the cable news channel. As of February 2015, approximately 94,531,000 households (81.2% of those with television) receive MSNBC within the United States of America.

Plot: In order to secure a change of scene after a nervous breakdown, Louise Gray goes to Silver City, and obtains employment in the office of the Good Hope Mining Company, where Tom Price is cashier. Tom and Louise fall in love. Louise's happiness is clouded by worry over her mother and sister, who are very poor and in ill health. A large sum of money for the payroll is received and placed in the safe, the combination of which is known by both Tom and Louise. Carlton, the manager, is called away from the town, and during his absence word is received of some trouble at the mines. Tom starts for the mines, saying he will return the following day. After Tom's departure, Louise hears of a gang of outlaws operating in the region, and becomes much concerned for the safety of the money. In her nervous state this effects her so strongly that, in her sleep, she goes to the office, removes the money from the safe, and conceals it. Tom, hearing of the outlaw gang, has returned and sees her take the money. He thinks that she has been unable to resist temptation and has stolen the payroll. Being unable to secure the money and restore it to the safe, Tom, determined to protect the girl, declares himself to be the thief when the loss is discovered. Both Tom and the girl are heartbroken, each thinking the other a thief. The outlaws attempt to raid the town, and in a fight with the sheriff and citizens, are killed or captured. The elimination of danger from the outlaws acts upon Louise's subconsciousness, as did the original fear of them, and that night she again walks in her sleep, restoring the money to the safe. This time she is seen by the sheriff, Tom's friend. The sheriff explains to Tom and Carlton the facts, but, to save her feelings, they are kept secret from Louise, she being told that it was all a mistake, that the money was at all times in the safe. Louise gets well and all probability of a recurrence of somnambulism is removed by the elimination of worry over her mother and sister. When she returns from her honeymoon she finds that Tom has brought them West to live with them.

This is an abbreviated and edited version of a series of six talks presented by Tom Price at various summer schools around the world in summer 2012, including Florida, Tennessee, Sweden, Scotland, Holland, Denmark, Slovakia, Greece, and Romania. This recording was made at the Tennessee Baha'i School, August 31 to September 3. The program discusses how we can become more like 'Abdu'l-Bahá in our daily lives. 'Abdu'l-Bahá was the son of the Founder of the Bahá'í Faith, Bahá'u'lláh, and the appointed head of that faith from 1892 to 1921. The visual images were not part of the original presentations, but were added later by Elham Nia, with the permission of the speaker.
