Yui Aragaki (新垣 結衣, Aragaki Yui, born June 11, 1988) is a Japanese actress, model, singer and occasional radio show host.

She is particularly recognized for her beauty and her movie projects.

Career

Aragaki won the Film prize at the 45th Golden Arrow Awards in 2008. Her tremendous number of movie shoots as well as the preparation for her debut album resulted in her suffering from work-related stress in 2007.

Outside acting she also released her first album, Sora, and the single "Heavenly Days", a song from Koizora. "Memories", the theme song for Tokyo Serendipity, was included in her debut album. She also performed at Budokan.

She was also the co-hosts for popular radio program Girls Locks in 2010-2012.

Piece (song)

"Piece" is a pop song by Japanese recording artist Yui Aragaki. It was released as her third single on February 25, 2009.

Background

"Piece" was written and composed by singer-songwriter Minako Kawae. The song first premiered on Aragaki's Tokyo FM radio show, "School of Lock!", January 21, 2009. The single features a cover of Mongol800's hit song "Anata ni" and "Sparkle", written by Aragaki herself.

"Piece" was released in three formats: standard edition, limited edition A, which has an illustration cover drawn by Aragaki herself and limited edition B, which has an illustration cover drawn by Studio Ghibli animator Yoshiyuki Momose, who also directed an animated music video for the song.

Chart performance

"Piece" peaked at #6 on the daily Oricon singles chart and #7 on the weekly chart, selling 18,204 copies in its first week.

One Piece (Japanese: ワンピース, Hepburn: Wan Pīsu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 19, 1997, with the chapters collected into eighty tankōbon volumes to date. One Piece follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a funny young man whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his diverse crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the grand line in search of the world's ultimate treasure known as "One Piece" in order to become the next Pirate King.

The manga has been adapted into an original video animation (OVA) produced by Production I.G in 1998, and an anime series produced by Toei Animation, which began broadcasting in Japan in 1999 and has aired 728 episodes to date. Additionally, Toei has developed thirteen animated feature films, two OVAs, and five television specials. Several companies have developed various types of merchandising such as a trading card game, and a large number of video games. The manga series was licensed for an English language release in North America & the United Kingdom by Viz Media and in Australia by Madman Entertainment. The anime series was licensed by 4Kids Entertainment for an English-language release in North America, before the license was dropped and subsequently acquired by Funimation in 2007.

One Piece (video game)

One Piece also referred to as Shonen Jump's One Piece is a 2-D platforming adventure video game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance based on the 4kids dub of the One Piece anime. Developed by Dimps and published by Bandai, it was released on September 7, 2005. It is the only One Piece game to be only released in the USA, and the first out of two to not see a release in Japan.

Plot

"Follow the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates and explore the Grand Line in search of the famed treasure, the "One Piece!" Use your stretchy Gum-Gum abilities to defeat marines and other pirates of the sea that you encounter on your journey!"

Similar to the first one piece video game, From TV Animation - One Piece: Become the Pirate King!, the main game covers the East Blue Saga.

Gameplay

Control Monkey D. Luffy through platformer styled levels, with a one button masher combo system. Roronoa Zoro (named "Roronoa Zolo" to match the 4kids dub name), and the other crew members can be used as summons and a total of 15 characters appear in the story mode. There are 12 different bosses such as Buggy and Smoker (named "Chaser" to match the 4kids dub name). There are items that appear in the manga and anime used as collectable treasure, which the player can revisit already cleared stages to find. The stages also have interactive environment objects.

Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter and children's book author. She rose to fame in 2002 after winning the first season of American Idol, and has since been established as "The Original American Idol". Her debut single, "A Moment Like This", topped the United States Billboard Hot 100 and became the best-selling single of 2002 in the U.S. She became the runner-up of World Idol the following year. Clarkson's debut studio album, Thankful (2003), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Echo Park (album)

Echo Park is the third studio album by the Welsh rock band Feeder. It was their first album since 1999's Yesterday Went Too Soon. The album was recorded at Great Linford Manor in Milton Keynes during most of 2000, and was produced by Gil Norton.

Following a return to live performances of their own, after performing for most of the year at various festivals and the release of the singles "Buck Rogers" and "Seven Days in the Sun" the album was released on 23 April 2001. Two further singles—"Turn" and "Just a Day"—followed the album's release, in which the latter was not on the album, but as a b-side on "Seven Days in the Sun". The album received mixed reviews from the music press but was received well by the public, reaching number five on the UK Albums Chart. It is the last album to feature drummer Jon Lee before his death the following year.

Background

Following the minor commercial success of their highly regarded 1999 album, Yesterday Went Too Soon, the band appeared at the Manic Millennium concert at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, South Wales, supporting fellow Welsh band the Manic Street Preachers, before a headline show at the London Astoria the following year. During this time Grant Nicholas, the group's frontman and principal songwriter, began to write new material for a future album, with songs such as "Buck Rogers" and "Seven Days in the Sun" emerging through the course of the year. Versions of the newly composed songs were performed many times during the course of 2000 at various festivals such as V2000 (in which "Oxygen" was performed, and broadcast on MTV UK), the Glastonbury festival and T in the Park, before the band then embarked on a mini-tour playing small venues in December.
