Jaipur

Jaipur ⁱ/ˈdʒaɪpʊər/ is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan in Northern India. It was founded on 18 November 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh, the ruler of Amer after whom the city is named. As of 2011, the city has a population of 6.66 million, making it the tenth most populous city in the country. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City of India.

Located at a distance of 260 km from the Indian capital New Delhi, it forms a part of the Golden Triangle tourist circuit along with Agra (240 km). Jaipur is a popular tourist destination in India and serves as a gateway to other tourist destinations in Rajasthan such as Jodhpur (348 km), Jaisalmer (571 km) and Udaipur (421 km).

History

The city of Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Jai Singh II, the Raja of Amer who ruled from 1688 to 1743. He planned to shift his capital from Amer, 11 km from Jaipur to accommodate the growing population and increasing scarcity of water. Jai Singh consulted several books on architecture and architects while planning the layout of Jaipur. Under the architectural guidance of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya, Jaipur was planned based on the principles of Vastu shastra and Shilpa Shastra. The construction of the city began in 1727 and took four years to complete the major roads, offices and palaces. The city was divided into nine blocks, two of which contained the state buildings and palaces, with the remaining seven allotted to the public. Huge ramparts were built, pierced by seven fortified gates.

Jaipur (horse)

Jaipur (foaled 1959 in Kentucky) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse who won the 1962 Belmont Stakes and was voted that year's U.S. Eclipse Award for Outstanding 3-Year-Old Male Horse.

Jaipur was a son of Nasrullah out of the mare Rare Perfume, whose sire was Eight Thirty. He was bred by George D. Widener, Jr.'s Erdenheim Farm.

As a yearling, Jaipur was broken and exercised by soon-to-be jockey Michael Tornambe, who was the first person to ride the colt. He was also under the care of farm manager Ralph Delaney.

Trained by future U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee Bert Mulholland, Jaipur won ten of his nineteen races, including the 1962 Belmont, Withers, and Travers Stakes while ridden by Willie Shoemaker.

One of American Horse Racing's Top 100 Moments

In the 1962 Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course, Jaipur won by a fraction of a nose in track-record time over Ridan. Still written and talked about today, the race is listed in the 2006 book Horse Racing's Top 100 Moments written by the staff of Blood-Horse Publications. The race result determined which colt was named the 1962 U.S. Champion 3-Year-Old Horse. He died in 1987.

Jaipur International Airport

Jaipur International Airport (IATA: JAI, ICAO: VIJP) is the primary airport serving Jaipur, the capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located in the southern suburb of Sanganer, 13 km (8.1 mi) from Jaipur. The airport was granted the status of international airport on 29 December 2005. The civil apron can accommodate 14 aircraft the size of an Airbus A320 and the new terminal building can handle up to 1000 passengers at a time.

Layout and infrastructure

The new domestic terminal building at the airport was inaugurated on 1 July 2009. The new terminal has an area of 22,950 square metres (247,000 sq ft) with facilities such as central heating system, central air conditioning, inline x-ray baggage inspection system integrated with the departure conveyor system, inclined arrival baggage claim carousels, escalators, public address system, flight information display system, CCTV for surveillance, airport check-in counters with Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE), car parking, etc. The International Terminal building has peak hour passenger handling capacity of 500 passengers and annual handling capacity of 400,000. The entrance gate is made of sandstone and Dholpur stones along with Rajasthani paintings on the walls. Runway expansion work at the airport started in February 2014 and was completed by July 2015 at an estimated cost of Rs.98 crore. The expansion allows the airport to accommodate wide-body aircraft.

N. T. Rama Rao Jr.

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Jr. (born 20 May 1983) is an Indian film actor, an accomplished Kuchipudi dancer, and a singer known for his works exclusively in Telugu cinema, He is the grandson of veteran Telugu actor N. T. Rama Rao Sr. In 1996, he was starred as a child artist in Ramayanam, which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film for that year. He achieved his breakthrough success in 2001 with the blockbuster Student No.1. He is best known for his works in box office hits such as Aadi (2002), Simhadri (2003), Yamadonga (2007), Adhurs (2010), Brindavanam (2010), Baadshah (2013), Temper (2015), and Nannaku Prematho (2016).

In his film career, Jr. NTR has worked in twenty seven films, He has won two state Nandi Awards, one Filmfare Best Telugu Actor Award and three CineMAA Awards. Other than films he is the brand ambassador for several brands such as Malabar Gold, Himani Navratna Hair Oil and Zandu Balm in Andhra pradesh, and Telangana. He was listed 16th in Forbes India top 100 Celebrities for 2012 with an annual income of ₹19 Crore (US$3.042 Million). Ram Charan is an Indian film actor, dancer, producer, businessman and entrepreneur, who works in Telugu cinema.He won two state Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards South, two CineMAA Awards, and one Santosham Best Actor Award. He is popularly known as Mega Power Star of Telugu Cinema. Ram Charan ranked #69 in 2013 India's Forbes list with earnings of ₹12.67 crore (US$1.9 million).

Personal life

Ram Charan was born to Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and Surekha. He has two sisters. He is the grandson of Allu Rama Lingaiah and the nephew of Nagendra Babu, Pawan Kalyan, and Allu Aravind.He is the cousin of Allu Arjun, Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej. Charan got married to Upasana Kamineni, the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity and chief editor of B Positive magazine, in Hyderabad on 1 December 2011. Upasana is the granddaughter of Prathap C. Reddy, the Executive Chairman of the Apollo Hospitals. Subsequently, they got married on 14 June 2012 at the Temple Trees Farm House.

Ram Charan is an equestrian, and entrepreneur. He owns the polo team Ram Charan Hyderabad Polo Riding Club. He serves on the board of directors of MAA TV.

Ram Charan (guru)

Ram Charan (Hindi: राम चरण)( February 24, 1720 - 1799 AD) or ( Māgh Shukla 14, 1776 - Vaisakha Krishna 5,1855 Bikram Samwat) is the founder of a unique religious tradition in India called Ram Snehi Sampradaya. He initiated,illustrated and preferred the Nirguna (Absolute) Bhakti, although he was not against Saguna Bhakti. He initiated and tried to eliminate "show", blind faith, hypocrisy and misled existing in the Hindu Religion and preferred to worship 'Name of god' that is "RAMA" over god, to not get involved in false "show" activities.

Early life

Charan born in Sodha, a village in Tonk district of Rajasthan on February 24, 1720 AD(Māgh Shukla 14, 1776 Bikram Samwat). His father's name was Bakhat Ram Vijayvergia and his mother's name was Devhuti Devi. His parents were living in Banwara village near Malpura, Rajasthan. His childhood name was "Ram Kishan".
