I have the latest Mac Mini and would not recommend it either as it was sold. The HDD is extremely slow and it took me more than a minute to open MS Word on it. I forked out $150 for an external SSD and transferred the operating system to it and Word now opens in only 3 seconds. Apple is relying on increasingly inferior hardware for their desktops and laptops and Consumer Reports is correct in calling them out for it. Their computer products are no longer a value for the price.
