Highlights
Online writing assistance
You can meet with a Writing Assistant face-to-face or in an online format that's comfortable for you.
All writing benefits from a second set of eyes.
Our meetings are student directed--we focus on what you want to work on.
Our Writing Assistants study writing center pedagogy
Our Writing Assistants enroll in "Working with Writers" or "Intermediate Writing Center Theory and Practice." Each spring we complete a project that leads to a poster for Thinking Matters.
We can help with science too!
The Writing Center offers tutoring in the science courses offered at LAC. Ask us about arranging group tutoring meetings for your study group.
Need some extra help with math?
Our friendly tutors can help you understand those math concepts that are giving you trouble.
We're here for all your writing projects.
You can work with us on any writing project at any stage of the process--from understanding an assignment to reviewing a final draft.
