    A: Collins has a belief in the **primary** (not marginal) power of tax cuts to incentivize corporations and wealthy individuals to generate growth. Like most people trapped in motivated reasoning, she is immune to analytical or empirical argument to the contrary.

    What I really don't understand here is Susan Collins. She came out of health care a hero. Now she is, rightly, seen as a fool, a tool, or both. And she can never get it back. What could possibly justify that choice?
