The neighbourhoods affected are a mix of Jewish and Arab areas and include the university dorms in French Hill. The response from the municipality of “we don’t know when it will be fixed” is the sort of thing you say when a store is out of milk, not when half a city has no water.

Multiple neighbourhoods in East Jerusalem have had no water since 10am this morning, with no idea of when it will be fixed. Rather than the Jerusalem Municipality offering assistance to the thousands of people without water, local volunteers are having to do so instead.

If this really is the reason he’s cancelled, it sounds to me like the prime minister is too scared to look at his constituents in the eye, never mind the huge portion of Diaspora Jewry who invest in Israel and are concerned about his leadership.

The old city is covered in cameras, especially around Temple Mount, especially during Ramadan. It’s hard to believe that not even a second of footage was captured from this attack that was apparently so dangerous that they felt they had no other choice but to kill him.

A Bedouin man was shot and killed by Israel Police officers this morning, after they claimed he tried to shoot them. Eyewitnesses and his family have disputed this.
In an incredible coincidence, not a single security camera or body camera was turned on.
