    Every once in a while I know some piece of information about music, art, literature, etc that surprises me, because it doesn't come up in my day to day. And I realize how amazing good public schools are. Let's spend more money on those.

    Forgive me for over-generalizing about a gender and all, but do men really like cast iron pans? I've noticed that all the men around me really like to properly clean and season cast iron pans.

    If for whatever reason you need to store dates as timestamps (usually bad idea, but occasionally hard to avoid) then here's a weird hacky trick that will make things slightly less annoying: store them as noon UTC.
