Each month could be a different philosopher. You could get some nihilism, a box of incomprehensible German, maybe some syphilis on Nietzsche month

On second thought it seems like respect for authority will really make parenting easier, so Baby Melvins is out.

Turns out there are a lot of alternatives to the Baby Motzart series! Baby Steve Reich is my favourite so far, but I could see Baby Melvins nurturing interesting children.

One underrated part of writing unit tests is that it's yet another way for your laziness to help you write better code. If something is irritating to test, it can probably be organized more clearly.

Another non-coding thing I encourage my reports to do is checkpointing: write down context of what they are working on at least at end of the work day so they can revisit first thing next morning. This keeps their working memory free from work *task* details until needed again.

has passed! Florida has voted to restore voting rights to nearly 1,5 million people. This really is SO huge. FL will no longer permanently disenfranchise all ppl with felony convictions. 10% of FLians are now disenfranchised, & more than 20% of state's black adults.

Tonight there’s only one contest that really matters: which online idealogues will emerge victorious to self righteously mock the vanquished. For the rest of us, it’s toil, sleep, toil, die, just as it’s always been and always shall be, until the sun swallows us all Vote arbys

I also wonder what kind of data is under the election model? Like is it built in a time series of past hourly vote counts?
