Everyone has their opinion on
#WWDC17. I for one am happy it's in San Jose. Easier to get in and out of, and to get work done. -

Not unexpected, but it's still a sign of just how difficult it's going to be to get down to 10nm. The days of easy node shrinks are over.https://twitter.com/anandtech/status/829842561493774337 …

I really doubt the Switch consumes this much power, but it means that it can still charge quickly while in active use (i.e. docked)
-
Nintendo Switch power input, taken from Nintendo's 3D render for promo videos: 15V @ 2.6A (39W). Subject to change before release, of course
-
This also means the Dock isn't just a plastic shell, but has a small amount of electronics. Which is part of why it costs what it does
-
If you look closely, the USB port inside the Dock is blue, so it's USB 3.0. Which means 2 lanes must be going to it. That rules out HDMI
-
I've figured out the Switch HDMI mystery. Nintendo can't be passing HDMI, so it must be converting 2 lanes of DP to HDMI in the dock (1/2)
