    UPDATE: After months in detention, Ahmed Abdelbasit was granted asylum in the United States. The NJ teacher has not been released from detention yet but his supporters call the decision a good first step. His students just want him back in class. Details:

    Damn shoulda told the Romans when they killed millions of people that they were in our house and if they didn’t like it they could go back to where they came from. That would have stopped then.

    Why would you wear a bikini in Mecca when there’s no beach. But if you go to the Saudi coast (or plenty of other Muslim majority beach cities) you can. You’re Islamophobic analogy didn’t work therefor your hate is showing.

    Paying taxes, providing healthcare etc, is not assimilation but civic duties. Assimilation is to shake hands with fellow citizens or not showing up with a bikini in Mecca. You have your definitions all wrong. Which is not surprising. Again, grow up.

    No immigrants don’t need “to make compromises” in order to be treated with dignity. Immigrants are human too. We don’t submit our bodies for work when you want and then expect our mouths to be shut when you want.

    It's some peoples choice not to assimilate and its their prospective host country's choice to deny citizenship if these people choose not to. Grow up.
