    I welcome the formation of a new government and call on all to work together in the interest of peace and to overcome internal divisions. Unity and elections are essential to reconciliation.

    I have been summoned to go to the Israeli police today. I don't know what for - there is zero justice under military occupation so in a sense it is irrelevant what the summons is for. I hope not to be taken into custody and will update you all

    Strong message & robust leadership by in defense of right to education of Palestine refugee students. Over 2 M girls and boys have graduated from schools since 1950s. A major contribution to preserving hope, opportunities & regional stability.

    There are 530,000 Palestine children in 700 schools. These schools cannot be closed! I appeal to the international community to maintain its solidarity with UNRWA to the benefit of the Palestine refugees and of the stability of the region.
