Our recent acquisition of a 1944 book previously owned by Adolf Hitler demonstrates our mandate to acquire items of historic relevance to Canada. This item suggests what would have happened in Canada had the ended differently.

A Conservative MP hasn't been elected on the island of Montreal since the 1988 election (when it was the PCs). Most of those PC island seats went to the Bloc in 1993.

This is an interesting candidacy for the Conservatives on the island of Montreal. La Pointe-de-l'Île is held by the Bloc, and is contiguous with the CAQ's breakthrough on the island of Montreal in October's provincial election.

If the Liberals are debating whether or not to replace Wang, it puts them back to square one. It took them some time to confirm that they would run a candidate against Singh as they grappled with that choice the first time.

The deadline for nomination as a candidate in the Burnaby South byelection is 21 days before election day, so Feb. 4. The Liberals have some time to make up their mind about whether they want to replace Karen Wang. Party's constitution allows the leader to appoint someone.

Mainstreet's riding polls in the Quebec provincial election had some good results and some bad ones. The average error per party was +/- 4.1 points in the polls that were publicly published during the campaign.

Riding polls can be difficult to do, particularly in a diverse riding like Burnaby South where turnout among different communities can be very different. MOE of decided voters also about +/- 4 percentage points. But an encouraging first sign for Singh as the campaign begins.

Poll was conducted in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Suggests that Singh is giving the NDP a leader's bump in the riding, as both the LIB and CON are down and the NDP is up from 2015. The PPC score is pretty high, as well, considering the party's national polling levels.
