    I have a theory (based on many experiences) that when I am in a in Egypt, and there are several other people in Egypt *and* people in the US/Europe, the quality of all Egyptian connections SUFFER to the point of almost being unusable. Can anyone corroborate?

    hey do you know where that blogpost is... the one where you talked about students becoming so skeptical they treated all sources as equally not-credible ... and I made a comment about Women's ways of knowing? I don't remember if I ever copied the comment elsewhere

    Happy to be reminded this morning of the various map projections and how they distort the sizes of continents and countries and what the implications are. This video may be useful to use in class and talk more generally about how models distort

    For me, it's not the only question. First we have to think about what we do about the mountain of historic data that derives from networks of algorithms and categories that are untraceable. The source of the bias has become invisible even tho we see its effects.
