    This is a major challenge for Netflix.The most popular shows on Netflix are shows they bought from someone else.They didn’t create it themselves. Not sure how sustainable this business model is long term.And Disney is about to take them head on with Disney Plus.

    Sasol vs Royal Dutch Shell over 10 years in USD tells a similar story to Richemont.

    Richemont has significantly underperformed it’s offshore peers Kering (Gucci) and LVMH the last 5 years. Below graph based in USD. Richemont delivered negative 2% per annum vs Kering 27% per annum and LVMH 22% per annum. That’s a massive difference.

    Nesan picked Ferrari, LVMH and Diageo. Not one of these shares are found on the JSE. This is an important point. The companies driving growth, changing the world and delivering great returns for shareholders are not found in South Africa.

    More than 70% of content viewed on Netflix is content they have bought from someone else. It’s not content they created. Not sure how sustainable that is. is about to compete with them in streaming space, and Disney makes a ton of money
