Why does it seem like graduate students (who have no protections for when they speak out) are the ones fighting with the loudest voices?

Tenure exists to protect you for controversial views not provide job security to publish in obscure scientific journals for decades. Use it.

@themadstone For some probably true. But there are plenty of loud-mouthed & obnoxious profs. In any case now is time for all to rise up.
