Sandra Annette Bullock (born July 26, 1964) is Hollywood's go-to actress when looking for slightly tomboyish, quirky, or Hollywood Homely characters who later prove to be Beautiful All Along/Kuudere/Not So Helpless after all. This was exemplified in the film Miss Congeniality and its sequel in the mid Noughties. She has also starred in Speed, A Time to Kill, Hope Floats, Practical Magic (alongside Nicole Kidman), the 1990s Romantic Comedy While You Were Sleeping, and 2013's Gravity, but her biggest hit so far has been the 2015 animated film, Minions.
Has the unique distinction of winning a Razzie Award for Worst Actress (for All About Steve) and an Oscar for Best Actress (for The Blind Side) in the same year. She not only turned up to accept the Razzie Award in person, but brought with her a cart filled with All About Steve Blu-ray discs to hand out to the audience members.

Tropes relating to Sandra Bullock:
- Action Girl: In several of her films.
- Actor Allusion: Invoked. It was Sandra's idea to name her character's dog 'Jack' in The Lake House, after Keanu Reeves's character in Speed.
- Actor Shipping: The huge lesbian fanbase behind Ocean's 8 love shipping her with co-star Cate Blanchett due to their scorching chemistry, friendship and camaraderie in real life and the fact that their characters have an incredibly ambiguous relationship in the film.
- Beautiful All Along: Many of her roles.
- Brainy Brunette: Again, often her roles.
- Celebrity Resemblance: To some, Julia Roberts. Becomes
Hilarious in Hindsight when she ended up playing George Clooney's sister in the Oceans franchise, and Julia Roberts previously played his ex-wife in the same franchise. - Cute Witch: In Practical Magic.
- Hollywood Homely: She's found herself cast as the plain or less glamorous girl in many movies. Miss Congeniality is actually a subversion - as Gracie gets picked as the Undercover Model precisely because she looks good in a swimsuit.
- The Lad-ette
- Ms. Fanservice: Very often in her roles, even up to her forties and fifties in recent years.
- She Does Not Like Shoes and has often appeared barefoot in magazine pictures and in her movies.
- Older Than They Look: Still looks like she did in the 90s twenty years later.
- Old Shame:
- Google Fire on the Amazon and see what pops up (but first make sure you're not at work).
- She isn't particularly proud of Speed 2: Cruise Control either.
- Or Miss Congeniality 2: Armed And Fabulous.
- And as mentioned in the description, her reaction to All About Steve getting her a Razzie was to come to the ceremony and happily admit it was terrible. Especially notable since she produced it.
- She Also Did: She co-wrote and directed a short film called Making Sandwiches.
- Surprisingly Good German: She has a German mother and grew up in Nuremberg, Vienna and Salzburg in her youth. When accepting an award in 2000
, she baffled many viewers with her fluent, accent-free German. - Tomboy: Her roles.
- Typecasting:
- While You Were Sleeping typecast her as a Girl Next Door in romantic comedies.
- Miss Congeniality turned her image into that of a more no-nonsense persona.
