I was apparently having a really hard time standing still for pictures, so this is the best side view I have
hmm, not sure why I always choose picture with my head down. I swear I don’t do that all the time, though it is a running joke on campus that engineers only look at the ground when they’re walking.
Proudly accessorizing with my “I Voted” sticker
Spot enjoys it.
The pockets are awesomely deep
Contemplating the statues
I’ll definitely stand out walking around campus in this, but it looks good with a neutral top
Bridesmaid hair accessories
Helpful kitten
Paired with different pants…
The obvious costume choice in 2010 was to be Lost inspired since the show had recently ended! This is definitely one of the most comfortable costumes ever. I made one for Mr. Husband too and he even wore it for a couple hours!
I actually got Mr. Husband to take pictures of my wearing my shorts when we went to the hot tub (I dislike pools and swimming and hot tubs so I often just put my feet in)
Got to have a fun lining and use up scraps
Is it weird that the flowers on this fabric make me hungry? They look like star fruit, mmmm….
I got my boyfriend to take pictures of the dress out side our apartment building next to this really beautiful tree with flowers the same color as my dress. Only problem with him taking pictures is he would never tell me when he was taking it, so they didn’t turn out all that great.
This is how I’d “style” this dress if I was going as a 60s-ish go-go dancer for Halloween… but being mostly anti-social I had no reason to dress up this year so I didn’t really make a costume
Pedro smiling, I think she’s sick.
It’s an “I don’t know what to do with my hands” kind of day
stylistic close up
Chasing the ducks
And the ring barer pillow, complete with duck, baring rings
Worn to family wedding #2 for the summer
It was about 20 degrees F outside that morning, way too cold without my coat on!
yup, that’s enough of that.
I actually got Mr. Fiance to take pictures when we went out to eat … with varying success.
I've been sewing since I was little, taught by my mom and grandma. I mainly make clothing for myself, sometimes my sister "Pedro." I love sewing clothes I'll actually wear, office wear is my favorite which works out great because I'm an engineer sitting in a cube 5 days a week. Besides sewing I love science fiction, cats, and embroidery.
I may not be a social butterfly, but if you're ever visiting the Twin Cities metro area and want to meet up, let me know!
