I’d like to make an example out of one of the writer mamas who writes for my online zine, Writers on the Rise. (Sorry, Cindy! I know you’ll forgive me.)
If this isn’t an excellent example of a mom who is s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g herself, I don’t know what is.
Check Cindy out and watch all the good things that come to her in the upcoming months because of her willingness to stretch herself:
She writes an every other month interview for “Writers on the Rise.” Here’s her January interview with Brooke Warner of Seal Press.
She writes a weekly Neighborhood Roundup article for The Oregonian
She has launched a writer Web site: www.cindyhudson.com
She has launched a mother-daughter bookclub Web site: http://www.motherdaughterbookclub.com
AND she has launched a new mother-daughter bookclub blog: www.motherdaughterbookclub.wordpress.com/
One of Cindy’s queries appears as a sample in Writer Mama. You can see the article that resulted from the query here.
Who knows what she’ll do next to develop her platform or who she’ll land an assignment with next. I’m going to keep watching to find out.
Go Cindy! Thanks for the inspiration!
