Le Castle Vania is an electronic dance music project created by Atlanta-based DJ Dylan Eiland.
Eiland began DJing at warehouse parties and raves in Atlanta at age 16. He adopted the name “Le Castle Vania” with the release of his remix for Snowden’s song “Black Eyes” in 2006. From 2007 to 2012, Le Castle Vania hosted the “Fuck Yesss” indie electronia dance parties at venues such as The Drunken Unicorn and Masquerade in Atlanta.
Eiland uses a simple setup, including a laptop computer, a mixer, and two turntables. He writes his songs on his laptop, often while traveling on airplanes, and prefers to play a larger number of his original work compared to his remixes. At one point, his remix of Black Eyes by Snowden was the most requested song at a New Zealand radio station. He has also remixed songs by Daft Punk, Kaskade, and Klaxons.
The sound of Le Castle Vania is specifically intended to avoid the common southern influence of crunk, and focuses primarily on Euro-electro influences.
In 2008, URB Magazine included Le Castle Vania in their list of “Next 100” artists to watch.
In 2014, Eiland contributed to the soundtrack of the film John Wick with 4 original songs. He will return to compose original music for John Wick: Chapter 2 as well as making a cameo appearance as a DJ in the film.
On October 21, 2015, Eiland contributed three new songs to the video game Payday 2 as a part of the game’s yearly anniversary event, Crimefest.
Elland is the founder of Always Never, an electronic music record label and music/nightlife event production company.
He is the founder of the Fuck Yesss party held in Atlanta, Georgia.
He has a side project called Lies In Disguise. Eiland also releases more bass-music-oriented productions under the alias Twin Moons.

“Bökh was shot in the Grasslands on Inner Mongolia, an area of Northern China that has a strong Mongolian population. The Grasslands are vast open spaces that run from the mountains of Inner Mongolia to the border of Outer Mongolia and have been home to nomadic communities for centuries.
When a boy is born in Inner Mongolia, his family pray for him to become a wrestler. This ancient tradition is still a key status symbol in the nomadic community and the central focus of many young men’s lives. We were interested in this lesser known form of wrestling only found and practiced by a small group of men in Inner Mongolia. The strong cultural heritage and ritual of the sport intrigued us. We were particularly interested in how it governed status for young men within the community as well as defining manliness.” Gem Fletcher

These delicate and complex plates were decorated by Russian artist Daria (aka dahhhanart) who employs a form of pointillism technique that combines acrylics, enamel, and appliquéd gems.

The full trailer for Loving Vincent, a feature-length film animated by 62,450 Oil Paintings, has finally been released after nearly six years of creative development.
Loving Vincent is an investigation delving into the life and controversial death of Vincent Van Gogh, one of the world’s most beloved painters, told by his paintings and by the characters that inhabit them. The intrigue unfolds through interviews with the characters closest to Vincent and through dramatic reconstructions of the events leading up to his death.
Loving Vincent features over one hundred and twenty of Vincent Van Gogh’s greatest paintings. The plot, drawn from the 800 letters written by the painter himself, lead us to the significant people and events in the time leading up to his unexpected death.
Loving Vincent will be the world’s first feature-length painted animation, and is brought to you by Oscar winning film companies Breakthru Films and Trademark Films. Every frame in the Loving Vincent movie is an oil painting on canvas, using the very same technique in which Vincent himself painted.
