Santa Claus - Nightmare Inducing Weirdness From South of the Border

Continuing to scrape the bottom of the Xmas Barrel here at ‘Can’t Stop Watching’, and last night we queued up this Mexican Santa Claus movie from the sixties featuring a truly frightening Santa taking on a demon from the underworld intent on making kids ‘be bad’. Thank goodness for the good folks at MST3K for making this one moderately watchable. I had the choice of watching it either with or without their color commentary, and I’m glad I chose the former, as otherwise I probably wouldn’t have been able to make it through the 'singing children of many lands’ opening sequence without turning it off out of sheer boredom.

If you enjoyed 'Santa Claus versus the Martians’, then this one will be right down your alley, with enough Christmas Weirdness to provide nightmares throughout the coming new year.
