Lori is a close friend of ours here in San Diego. She was a Baal Chesed, Baal Tzedaka. Very kind Jewess. She saved the Rabbis life by giving hers. I’m devastated.
This is Lori Gilbert Kaye. A 61 year old beautiful soul, murdered in today’s #SanDiego Chabad #Poway Synagogue attack, as she was celebrating #Passover.
Her sole ‘crime’? She was a Jew!

My heart goes out to her family. May her memory be a blessing. How such evil exists, is a mystery. Psalm 1:3. “That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither-- whatever they do prospers.” Lori is with God.

I’ve grown used to death but the murder of Lori Gilbert Kaye has taught me as short as human life is, we shouldn’t simply accept it, that we’re all our brothers’ keeper and Saturday felt like that vow wasn’t kept. Its sad.

My whole family is in shock... usually it happens somewhere else but today it happened in my neighborhood. I knew Lori as selfless, gentle person and today she proved that by shielding Rabbi Goldstein with her own body, giving her life for him and dying as he continued the sermon
