I appreciate you for calling this exactly what it is. It’s painfully transparent. Plenty of Americans on both sides of the aisle — including Democratic nominees for President and reliably liberal media personalities — are likewise put off by this political point scoring. Bravo.

I respect his offer, position and experience, however, those are death camps not mere concentration camps. Camps established for the sole purpose of extinguishing life in mass. Concentration camps, while all deplorable, served a multitude of purposes, as you know.

But, you can not argue against his point that our camps are not the same as the Nazi established camps, nor do I believe they will become so. But there are clear parallels to Japanese interment and German ghettos and other camps.

The concentration camps were run by an occupying force in Poland. Japanese Americans were confined at home. Citizenship is not an irrelevant detail in making this comparison.
