We celebrated our last 2017-2018 All-School Shabbat this morning and it was a blast! We danced the "Shabbat Hop", we watched our Pre-K Rabbis lead the prayers, we awarded Mensches of the Month and Math Awards, and we participated in Red Nose Day USA. #STARTcelebratingHERE #bydsmensches #bydssmiles #bydsproud
What a lovely evening of beloved Judaic melodies, Broadway, & Opera in Honor of Rabbi David B. Rosen. Featuring the Houston Symphony, BYDS students, and Congregation Beth Yeshurun Religious School Choir singing the youth chorus solo parts on an original work, “If Only”, composed by Cantor Finkelstein. Conducted by Richard Bado.

So proud of our Congregation Beth Yeshurun children last night singing at Brachot - a celebration of gratitude to Rabbi Rosen - with William S Malev Schools for Religious Studies of Congregation Beth Yeshurun, Beth Yeshurun Day School, Christine Phares, and Meir Finkelstein.
Brachot Performers: REMINDERS from Ms. Phares:
1. Arrive at STAGE door of Hobby Center by 6:15pm, Wednesday May 23, I will be at the door to greet students, follow the signs around back that read loading dock/stage door, concert begins at 7pm
2. Attire: black pants or long black skirt or even black leggings and solid white short or long sleeved shirt, shoes should be as dark as possible
3. Please eat dinner before arrival, kosher snacks available for all students. We’ll have …7 chaperones on hand backstage including myself, if you need to reach me, text or call my cell
4. Pick Up is after the concert at the back stage door. Chaperones will assist with pick up.
5. Tickets were given out at rehearsal pick up and drop off Tuesday evening as rehearsal was mandatory for performing student:
