Some charter schools recruit students with a history of success then take credit for making those students sucessful. Wouldn't you be dissatisfied if someone else took credit for your work? Traditional scools help ALL children, a job many charters refuse to do.

Well it is time to review in depth the training the get at the university. It should have to be the most complete and complex preparation job. What they get in most coutries is an insult to the intellectual capacity. And still people are not asking for this change.

On top of everything else, trump tax plan takes away the measly $250 tax credit for buying stuff for their rooms, while big companies can write that stuff off .

When the profession goes back to teaching subjects instead of teaching to a test, the value of our profession will return. Districts are opting to dumb down education by purchasing curricula that look like the test which is a major fail. Students are learning to think like a test

@publius332 charters are to blame? Disingenuous at best. Insuff leadership, standard changes, poor PD, lack of autonomy, more to blame. -
Not all charters recruit students with histories of success. Some recruit students with histories of failure. Recruitment matters when attributing the effectiveness of leadership, PD, etc.
