I say it’s a huge subject and that’s one article. I’ve never said I support everything Israel does. The situation of the Palestinians is tragic, but blaming one side without considering context or the history of the area, gets one nowhere.
-
Cheers.just thought you'd be interested as an ,"Israel pulled out and look what happened"person.Lots of context/history I agree.Roll on israelestine or palesrael I say.
-
It’s just the most depressing situation and it could all have been avoided.
-
He makes some good points but he gets into a muddle when, on one hand, he tells liberal Jews that their opinions have no more legitimacy simply because they’re Jewish, and on the other, calls them Lord Haw Haws etc for betraying their own people.
-
well, not BECAUSE they're Jewish. THEY think they can say whatever they want BECAUSE they're Jews. They have the responsibility to learn everything before they make a statement about the situation. They prefer to protect their Liberal standing.
-
He still puts them in a special category one moment, then protests they’re not, the next. He does seem to want it both ways. (Though that might just be my reading of it.)

I feel for the people of Gaza. In 2005 Israel left with all the good intentions of making a normal life for both sides. The people of Gaza managed to make their life an ongoing misery, and they seem to blame Israel for this. Why not blame Egypt? They have a border there. >>
-
>> Ah. Egypt does not want to play. So blame the Jews. Did you read the signs carried on the “ peaceful return March”? They want us to disappear. This will not happen. But instead of telling them that, people like yourself keep blaming Israel for all the Gaza hardships . Sad.

Hamas leaders are to blame as they teach Gazans to kill all the jews and destroy Israel. Started 3 wars and will not seek peace and start a country. What do YOU suggest. More equpment for terror tunnels . and better missles for Hamas ?

Beinart should give credit to many American Jews instead of antisemitic baiting of grouping us all together. We do rail against what AIPAC & State of Israel is doing. We dont ALL fall for these talking point lies and will not allow ourselves to sleep at night.
-
Fair enough. But many?
-
Without knowing off the top of my head the percentage, I can still state "many" with some confidence based on the number I've seen on social media. Even if they represent a small percentage of Jews (which I'm not sure it's small), it can still be many people.
-
Also, it's my opinion that American Jews are waking up and, whatever the percentage is, it seems to be growing.
-
Yes the trend is in the right direction.
