I am a work in progress. I love my Jesus, my husband, my kids. I’ve been a public school teacher, a home schooling mom, a piano teacher, a small business owner, an international traveler, a parent, and I’ve adopted two kids. Four of my darlings came to us through birth, one came from Kazakhstan in an international adoption, one in a domestic adoption through protective services. I have a passion for ministering to people who have adopted kids and need support. Don’t we all need some support? I’ve never sky dived, been to Mexico (even though it’s only 3 hours drive away), been published on paper, run for office, or been unloved.
Sue,
I just saw your blog tonight after seeing your post on Facebook. I don’t “Facebook” a whole lot, but check in from time to time. I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog. I think about you, Paul, and your family just about every time I am in the Home Depot / Office Depot area. I assume you still live there. You know how much we loved your little family when you were more a part of us, but I still love you from afar!
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog! I see we have a few things in common. Where are you having the rhizotomy done? How are you feeling about it?
Caleb is having the SDR done at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin TX. They are the closest neurosurgery center to our house. I am very excited for him to be free, long term from the wheelchair. I am also pretty freaked out to be making what feels like a risky decision for someone who can’t really tell me if he wants to do this or not. He wants to walk and be like other kids; so we feel like it’s the thing to do. Excitement and terror, that pretty much sums up our feelings. Then there’s the overwhelmed feelings with dealing with the other 5 kids while this all goes on.
