Our nationally recognized program offers a positive, high-energy, and age-appropriate introduction to soccer. Our half-day camps consist of multiple soccer sessions out on the JCC field and indoor time doing a daily craft, reading, and team-building activities. Each camper will also receive a camp prize such as a t-shirt, mini soccer ball, water bottle, and more. All campers must be fully potty-trained. This camp is 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

ESTEAM LEGO Smart Moves | 3rd-6th Grades

In this immersive and hands-on course, campers will step into the future of transportation, learning how to build and program autonomous LEGO® robots that can navigate various challenges. This camp is designed for advancing engineers eager to explore the intersection of robotics and transportation while deepening their understanding of robotics and coding. Campers will build different vehicles (Bumper cars, ATVs, Drag race cars, and others) and test them on custom tracks. This camp does not swim.

ESTEAM LEGO Maker – Amusement Park | K-2nd Grades

Young engineers learn about the steps involved in defining a problem, brainstorming solutions, and testing and refining prototypes to improve their ideas. The amusement park camp will have campers use LEGO® bricks, gears, and motors to build a Carousel, Twirling Teacups, Ferris Wheel, and more fun challenges. This Camp will focus on creating a fun, friendly, and caring environment for our youngest LEGO® builders! This camp does not swim.

Our focus this week will be self-protection, self-defense, and summer readiness. Modules include Summer Safety Preparedness”, including Stranger Danger and Emergency skills like 911 and Fire Safety. This camp will focus on the fundamentals of soccer; passing, dribbling, shooting and spatial awareness, all while having a blast learning the game! We will teach our campers the rules and history of soccer, how to be a good teammate, and working within a team setting in a fun and interactive way. This camp will focus on drills, contests, and scrimmaging that will allow campers to work in a safe and friendly environment. This camp is a perfect recreational introduction to soccer for all skill and ability levels. Campers also get to participate in group bonding events like Friday Shabbat, Pride Day, Theme Days, swimming and water activities, and so much more!

Ms. Hill’s Art Adventure! | 1st-6th Grades

Come join Ms. Hill from Austin Jewish Academy (AJA) on a fun-filled two-week art adventure!

Theme: Art Around the World. Pack your art passports and embark on a two week-long adventure exploring the rich artistic traditions of global cultures and world-renowned artists! Campers will travel back in time and across continents to learn traditional art techniques while creating projects inspired by timeless masterpieces. From intricate mehndi designs of India to vibrant Mexican folk art, from painting like an Italian master to crafting traditional hamsas and sculpting Japanese-inspired clay pots—each day promises a new cultural discovery. With fresh projects different from last summer, this session is perfect for both returning and new campers ready to unleash their creativity.

ZACH Theatre Moana & Moana 2 Workshop | 1st-2nd Grades 

What can we say, except “You’re Welcome!” Campers will learn the basics of musical theatre while working on confidence, creativity, and collaboration! Campers will engage in acting, movement, arts & crafts and voice to work together and explore the wonderful story of Moana. Please note, these classes focus on process (the skills of singing and movement) over product. The two-week camp ends with a demonstration where campers perform a selection of songs and dances from Moana & Moana 2 for families and friends.

ZACH Theatre Wicked Workshop | 3rd-6th Grades

Defy Gravity in this two-week camp where campers put on their own musical revue of Wicked. Campers will rotate through acting, voice, movement & design to bring their favorite moments from Wicked to life. The second week ends with a demonstration where campers perform a selection of songs and scenes from Wicked for friends, family and fellow campers.

Come join us this summer for a camp that centers around teaching kids’ life lessons through basketball drills and games. Everything we do is constructed to make an impact for campers both on and off the court, from developing future leaders to being great teammates. JCC Basketball focuses on the 5 major fundamentals of basketball; shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, and defense. Campers will have the opportunity to learn the game through drills and stations and test their skills in competitions daily including hot-shot, dribble knockout, free throws, 1 on 1 and 5 on 5. Campers also get to participate in group bonding events like Friday Shabbat, Pride Day, Theme Days, swimming and water activities, and so much more! This camp is perfect for any skill level and is focused on kids WANTING to return to the court as they grow older and is a perfect introduction to all the fun recreational basketball leagues we offer at Shalom Austin!

From ESTEAM Learning Labs, in “Cool Creations,” campers will unleash their imaginations to design and build innovative projects using LEGO® bricks. They’ll dive into engineering concepts while expressing their unique ideas, experimenting with different builds, and refining their coolest creations. This course is a playground for creativity and innovation! This camp does not swim.

ESTEAM Lights, Camera, Action | 3rd-6th Grades

Video Production Camp is a hands-on, fast-paced program that allows campers to work directly with industrial film and video production professionals. Campers produce, direct, light, shoot, and edit like experts as they create content for that week’s camp. Campers will outline ideas, create a resource list, craft their story objectives, create content, and learn how to edit. This camp does not swim.

A week filled with tumbling, cheers, chants, jumps, stunts, choreographed routines plus fun extras like team building, art, cooking, swimming, and a Friday performance.

Mad Science: NASA Astro Innovators | 1st-6th Grades

Campers use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut, and solve real-world engineering problems using spinoff technology, just like NASA astronauts working together on a mission. They propose answers to questions like “How could space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem here on Earth? How could robotic arms help make our world a better place?” Then, they create a storyboard and presentation to share their spin-off project and work on their science communication skills. This camp does not swim.

Sticky Fingers: Kids Cooking Showdown | K-6th Grades

Do your kids love watching cooking shows on TV? In this hands-on camp, young chefs will work together in cooking challenges inspired by favorite cooking TV shows such as Street Food, Nailed It, and more! Let’s get our creative juices flowing in this awesomely fun and exciting cooking adventure! All meals created in this camp are meat-free. Campers will spend half of their day cooking, and the other half of their day with fun classic camp activities like swimming, games, and more!

All meals are nut-free, kosher, and meat-free. 

Kim’s Gym invites teens and youths entering grades 6 through 9 to join us as crew members at our summer camps. These helpers assist our group coaches and are essential to each session’s success. Our crew members will be trained to positively interact with the campers, and the experience is truly fulfilling on both sides. We love having our crew, and the campers do too!

Join Senior Master Palacios and ATA Martial Arts for JCamps’ first ever martial arts teen leadership camp!

In this camp, teens will not only learn martial arts and the life and leadership skills that go along with martial arts, but also practice these skills in helping to teach the younger campers in martial arts camp. In learning how to teach other people, teens can help themselves to have courage, to motivate, communicate, and help make others and themselves be the best person that they can.

JCampers! Are you entering 7th-9th grade? Then you have what it takes to be a Madatzim Leader!

Madatzim is the next generation of camp fun. As a leader, you will spend time learning about what it means to lead and work with campers younger than yourselves. You’ll have a ton of fun camp experiences together – tie-dye and cooking, anyone? – while building on your skills and relationships as you work directly with a JCamps bunk. The fun of Madatzim includes cool field trips and surprises!

As a Madatzim leader, you will learn how to create, plan, and implement your favorite camp programs that you and your friends come up with, experience the creation of the magic of camp, and of course, have the most fun and meaningful summer with us at JCamps!

Madatzim is fun for one week or many, through different field trips, learning experiences, and friends.

Join Ms. Hill from Austin Jewish Academy (AJA) for our first ever teen art camp. In Ms. Hill’s Art Excursions teens won’t just make art, they’ll get to travel to sites around Austin! We’ll visit working artist studios as well as museums, and then we’ll come back and make even more art inspired by those excursions. This camp is perfect for veteran Art Adventurers and newcomers alike.

Maccabi Champions is focused on teens looking to dive into the multitude of sports we offer at Shalom Austin! Campers will participate in a variety of sports and athletics activities led by expert professionals and coaches from our community. Every day will be different and exciting and include learning weight room etiquette and routines, understanding nutrition, pool safety and lap swimming technique, and even building, designing, and teaching curriculum to our own day campers!

It’s not just the place we call home, but a chance for campers to capture the spirit of summer, in a city that wears the slogan “Keep Austin Weird.”

Campers will spend the week exploring unique and fun things Austin has to offer. Campers will have the opportunity to get out and discover the city like they’ve never seen before! We will be exploring the Texas Hill Country, checking out the music scene, visiting local swimming holes, and experiencing all the unique things Austin has to offer.
