ManateeAdvocate on “Our Favorite Faces Of Rutger Hauer” John Ryder in The Hitcher naturally. No contest. It's still a great film with a terrifying performance by Hauer. . 8 hours ago

dustin chang on “Our Favorite Faces Of Rutger Hauer” Him going mano-amano with Stallon in Night Hawk would be my second choice. Also he was terrific in El Futuro, a recent Argentine Roberto Bolano adaptation. 11 hours ago
wabalicious on “Our Favorite Faces Of Rutger Hauer” As John Ryder in The Hitcher. I saw it when i was about 10 or 11 on video, it had just come out. At the time i found it scary and tense and expected that watching it again as an adult it'd be different. When it came out on dvd i picked it up and was so pleased to find it still held the same power, and if anything it's even better than i remembered. I think i understood more of it too, like the creepy homoerotic tension as Ryder touches the kid in the car and holds the knife to his eyeball. Brilliant film. Rutger has had so many fantastic parts though. Even in a piece of (deliberate) trash like Hobo With A Shotgun he gave a fantastic, and even moving, performance. 12 hours ago

Andrew Mack on “Frontières@Fantasia 2017: We Saw Footage From HOUSEWIFE, KNUCKLEBALL, THE LODGERS, TRENCH 11 And UNTOLD HORROR In The Buyer's Showcase” The Lodgers tbh. Sucker for period gothic pieces and the water effects were really good. I think that one may have some genuine scares in it. 1 day ago
